MySaskHealthRecord Mobile App Now Available

A new mobile app from eHealth means that Saskatchewan residents who have MySaskHealthRecord can now see their health records on their cell phones.  Watch app demo.

The MySaskHealthRecord mobile app has the same functionality as the web-based version of the tool. It allows users to see laboratory test results, medical imaging reports, immunization history, prescription history, and clinical visit history. It also offers users the ability to add their own information to track and generate reports, set medication and appointment reminders, and share information with other MySaskHealthRecord users.

“MySaskHealthRecord is an important tool, allowing Saskatchewan citizens the ability to see important health information in a timely way for better understanding and decision making,” Melville-Saltcoats MLA Warren Kaeding said on behalf of Health Minister Paul Merriman. “The app makes this information even more accessible.”

“MySaskHealthRecord provides the information patients need to take charge of their own health,” Dr. Nelson Leong said. “A lot of my patients want to play a role in guiding their own health care and the mobile app makes it that much easier. I see this as a real enhancement to the care I can provide and my relationship with my patients.”

“I really value having quick and easy access to my health information – and through my work as a Patient Family Partner, I know that others feel the same,” Patient Family Partner Tyler Moss said. “Having that information literally at your fingertips in the mobile app will go a long way to help put people at ease and feel empowered. I strongly encourage everyone, if they haven’t already signed up for MySaskHealthRecord, to do it sooner than later and to get the app.”

The mobile app works on mobile phones running Apple operating system 14 and newer or Android operating system 11 or newer. Find it in the Apple or Google Play app stores.

All data in the app is stored securely. The app allows those with a MySaskHealthRecord account to access the same information housed on the secure MySaskHealthRecord website. Citizens must still log in using the Government of Saskatchewan authentication processes. The web-based version of MySaskHealthRecord will remain available for anyone who doesn’t want to use the mobile app.

Citizens must have a MySaskHealthRecord account to use the mobile app. Start by creating an account online. Go to eHealthsask.ca/MySaskHealthRecord, select “Register for an account” and follow the steps.
