On May 21, 2023, Leader conservation officers located a female pronghorn that was shot out of season and left to waste approximately ¾ of a mile north of Leader on Range Road 3263 (old Leader Ferry road). The pronghorn was approximately 50 metres east of the road in a stubble field.
