June Town Council Highlights
On Monday, June 24, 2024, Town Council held their Regular Meeting, where they spoke of the following information:
The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve as presented the Minutes from the June 10, 2023, Regular Meeting of Council.
-Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Audrey Hebert gave the Financial Report for May 2024.
-Council resolved to receive as presented the audited financial statements and supporting schedules of the Town of Kindersley for the year ended December 31, 2023, as prepared as CHBB; and that these documents are received as information and filed.
-Town Council resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into a Land Sale Agreement with Travis and Jenean Retterath for the sale of 225 Thomson Drive in the amount of $68,635.00 plus applicable taxes.
-The Council of the Town of Kindersley approved the Discretionary Use Application (#24-02) for a Discretionary Use at the residence of 8 Phillips Court. The Application is approved on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2 (1) to (10), of Zoning Bylaw 02-22. The Application is approved on the condition that the Applicant obtains a Business License from the Town prior to operation, and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined above are not met for this proposed Home-Based Business, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.
-Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $421, 507.17.
-Town Council resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:
- Kindersley Chamber Minutes – May 16, 2024
- RCMP Update
- SaskWater Monthly Report – May 2024
- WSA Waterworks Inspection Compliance Report
On Monday, June 10, 2024, Town Council held their Regular Meeting.
-Council approved as prescribed the Minutes from the May 27, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council.
-The Council of the Town of Kindersley approved the Discretionary Use Application (#24-01) for a Discretionary Use at the residence of 612 8th Street West, on the condition that it complies with the Development Standards of Home-Based Businesses pursuant to Section 7.2(1) to (10), of Zoning Bylaw 02-22, and on the condition that the Applicant obtains a Business License from the Town prior to operation, and every year of operation. If any of the conditions outlined above are not met for this proposed Home-Based Business, then the permit may not be approved and/or may be revoked.
-Town Council directed Administration to distribute approved funding to the following applicants from the Community Grant Program, Spring 2024 intake:

-Council resolved to direct the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into a Development and Servicing Amending Agreement with McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited.
-Council resolved to accept as submitted the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount $1,433,024.17.
-The Council of the Town of Kindersley resolved to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items for acceptance and filing:

- KRPA Minutes – May 30, 2024
- SaskWater Monthly Report – April 2024
- STARS – Horizons – Spring 2024
- Water Security Agencies Mechanical Plant Compliance
