UPDATE! Foster Home Needed for Abandoned Pup

A foster home has been found for this cute pup but more are still needed to help the many dogs/pups that are looking for a home. Please consider filling out the foster application form on KAWS.

Original Article:

KAWS in Kindersley recently shared that this very cute pup has come into their care over the weekend. He was found abandoned and covered in ticks. The ticks have been removed and he is receiving tick medication.

“His finder is fostering him for now, but her cats don’t appreciate a young pup around, so we are looking for a more suitable foster home for him. We don’t think he’s ever been a house dog, as he’s a bit nervous indoors. But he’s super smart and eager to learn. Very food motivated! He’s already mastered “sit” and is working on other basic commands. He’ll likely need a bit of housetraining but we think he should learn very quickly. He’s a very sweet pup, he laid on his side and fell asleep while we picked ticks off of him. He loved the attention! We are unsure of his age at the moment, but should have a better idea once he’s seen the vet. Definitely appears to be under 6 months,” KAWS shared.

If anyone is interested in fostering, please fill out a foster application on the KAWs website www.kaws.ca/fostering.html.

Remember, when fostering, KAWS will provide everything you need, you just need to provide some training and love!

“We just ask that you be located in the West Central Sask. area. We have gotten SO many requests to take in dogs/puppies over the past week, so if anyone is interested in fostering other dogs/puppies, please fill out an application too!! We can only help these dogs if we have foster homes for them!”
