Kindersley’s Memorial Tree Program Seeing Positive Response
The Kindersley Memorial Tree Program has seen a lot of interest amongst residents. The Memorial Tree Program allows the public to pay tribute to a loved one by donating and dedicating a tree(s) in Kindersley. We reached out to the Town of Kindersley who had this to share about the program:
“Our first tree was planted on June 21, 2024 and to date* we have a total of 15 trees planted* and another 4 slated for next week*. This program was something I thought would be a great way to honor individuals as well as beautify our community. We have seen so much positivity with the program and are so excited to continue to grow this! This program gives options for donors to recognize someone special to them at any time. For example it is another option than sending flowers or food to their home and we have also had a lot of people recognizing those that have passed years ago. We absolutely love sharing in their tree planting and it is truly a heartfelt way to honor an individual and enhance our own community with the addition of a tree,” shared Kim Vogel, Deputy Administrator, Director of Transportation & Environmental Services, Town of Kindersley.

Application Submission:
The Memorial Tree Application form is required for each dedication. To submit a request, please fill out the Memorial Tree Application and submit it to the Town of Kindersley. Applicants can state their order of preference for location of the dedicated tree planting. Please note, we will try our best to plant in the designated location, but tree planting locations can not be guaranteed. Payment of the memorial tree dedication must be submitted at time of application.
Application Confirmation:
Once reviewed and confirmed the Town will notify the applicant and family of the dedicated individual (if family information is supplied on the application). We will provide a photo of the planted tree, a dedication card and GPS coordinates where the planting took place.
Tax Deducible Receipts:
The donation is tax-deductible. Please ensure you request a tax-deductible receipt on the application form if you wish to receive one.
