Klippers Announce Acquisition of Defenseman Tavon McCorrister from Winnipeg Blues.
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers are excited to announce the acquisition of 2006-born defenseman Tavon McCorrister from the Winnipeg Blues.
McCorrister joins the Klippers after two years in the MJHL, split between the Northern Manitoba Blizzard and the Winnipeg Blues. In 71 career MJHL games, he has tallied 5 goals, 13 assists, and 18 points, along with 28 PIMs.
Assistant GM Ryan Gibson on McCorrister: “Tavon is a long and mobile right-shot defenseman who comes to us with plenty of junior experience. He plays a game where he contributes at both ends of the ice, is a great skater, and moves the puck extremely well. When we were given the opportunity to bring him in, it was a no-brainer for us. We are very excited to have him join us this season!”
