West Central Abilities Celebrates Our Staff
On July 3, 2024, West Central Abilities was excited to host our Annual General Meeting followed by staff service awards, recognition of our recent STRIDE graduates, a retirement celebration and a delicious lunch!
We are thankful to all the clients, families and staff who were able to join us for this celebration! It was an honour to celebrate Brianna for 5 years of service, Nichole for 3 years of service and Jimmy for 15 years of service at SARCAN. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication in their roles at West Central Abilities.
Leera, Parker, Ailanie, Vickee, and Elizabeth were recognized for completing the STRIDE Training course over the course of the preceding year. Congratulations on completing this milestone training, we have seen the information you have received be put into practice as you progressed through the course.
The day was filled with mixed emotions as we celebrated the retirement of Kim Edmunds and Leanne Boychuk, both of whom had worked with West Central Abilities for over 30 years and had been with the agency through many changes, struggles and successes! Both women will be greatly missed but we wish them the best in their retirement and look forward to visits and hearing about their retired adventures!
The day was finished off with a surprize presentation from the local KIN Club who donated $10,000 toward the ceiling track lift system in our new day program building! This donation will allow us to assist individuals with more flexibility and safety in the therapy, change and sensory areas of the new building.
Thank you so much for your support of this important initiative!
