Warm Winds and Winning Strokes: Kindersley Chamber Golf Tournament Success
Well, September 24th produced another warm and windy day at the Kindersley Regional Park Golf Course as the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual tournament and those who came out had a great time, with many laughs and words of encouragement heard around the course.
“The 2024 Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament was a huge success, thanks to all our amazing sponsors and participants,” shared Chamber President Jeff Soveran.
The day featured 18 holes of golf, with various opportunities to win prizes on different holes, including a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge. There was one near hole-in-one, which would have made someone $10,000 richer, but alas, it wasn’t to be.
After completing the 18 holes, participants competed in a timed relay putting contest. The team with the best time was declared the winner and received a prize package. The day concluded with a sponsored supper and open bar held at Emeralds Upstairs, located at the golf course. Special thanks to Kelly Skapak, she and her crew made an awesome meal, putting the icing on the cake!
“A big thank you to all our sponsors, members, and non-members for coming out and making this a fantastic day of golf and socializing. This event would not be possible or successful without the wonderful support of our local Kindersley businesses. They give so much, and we are beyond appreciative and thankful for all their help,” shared Kevin Martin, Executive Director.
Chamber VP, Nikki Meschishnick, also shared how pleased she was with the day, “a big thank you to all of the people and businesses that donated prizes, the hole sponsors, the meal sponsors and extra volunteers we had help that day, for a successful event. And of course the great service from Kelly and her staff in Emerald Lounge throughout the day was much appreciated.”
