What’s Coming Up Next for Kindersley’s Chamber?
Well, the summer is darn near over! Just seems like only yesterday we were in Weyburn for the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show. Oh well. Time marches on. And speaking of March, the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2025 Career Day on Wednesday, March 26th at the Kindersley Composite School in the gymnasium. Like the one we hosted in March 2023, we are expecting many students and people from all walks of life who may be looking to change careers or even to start their work life to come out and take in the proceedings. There were 31 companies two years ago set up to showcase themselves and what they do and who they are. It was a wildly successful day as many connections were made and friendships renewed. For some of the students, it was an eye opener to see the diversity of careers that could be had right out of high school!
We host this event every 2nd year as we alternate with the Rosetown Career Day. Theirs is sponsored by the Sun West School Division and most students are bussed to Rosetown to participate. So, between the two of us, the students get exposed to many options and companies and choices for work. As a Chamber, we feel that students need to know that meaningful and productive/profitable work can be obtained locally in our trading area. One of our “jobs” as a Chamber, is to help our local businesses succeed and grow and we feel that by hosting this Career Day every two years, we achieve that.

In the meantime, our next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 12th at 12 noon at Synergy Credit Union (2nd Floor Community Room). All may attend.
