Goose Festival Is Nearly Here! And then? Christmas?
Wow. The 2024 Goose Festival is nearly here and it looks like the weather will be cooperating nicely. Whoo hoo!!
There will be a total of 6 food trucks for all your culinary delight. Big O’s from Prince Albert will anchor the downtown with their mini donuts and other treats, 2 Filipino food trucks and an East Indian food truck. Laurie’s Rolling Kitchen will be parked near the stage and Beaver Tails will be set up outside of Cameron’s Clothing at the East Crossing.
Dakota Buttar will have a tent set up by the Synergy Credit Union and InterPipeline will have their rock climbing wall beside the RBC. Better Together has all sorts of children’s activities on the United Church parking lot while a motorcycle show and shine takes place at the Red Lion.
Entertainment on the stage will be happening right after the parade, which starts at 11 am, and the antique car show on Main Street begins immediately after the parade.
The Kin Club will also have their annual Duck Derby so make sure you buy your duck.
The Clearview Church is hosting a free pig roast at 1:00 and all are welcome. Burgers and beans at the Red Lion and burgers and pies at the United Church.
All in all it will be an amazingly busy day. The Jr. Klippers face off against their arch rivals, the Battleford Northstars at 6:00 pm and there will be a Goose Festival dance following the hockey game.
Many activities and places to eat. What more could anyone ever ask for? 🤔 just good weather of course!
Once the Goose Festival has wound down, then we focus on the shopkindersley.ca gift cards. Even though this is a year round program, it seems more popular at Christmas. They also make an awesome gift for birthdays and even as a bonus for your employees!
The Chamber is pleased to say that every year the gift card sales continue to increase and that shows us that the “shop local” voice is being heard and carried on. The citizens of Kindersley have embraced this program and we are certainly happy to see out local businesses benefitting from this.
Have you got your gift cards yet? They can be purchased at the Chamber office, Murlin Electronics and Speedy Glass.
We thank everyone for helping out our town businesses. We can’t do it without you!
See you next issue!
