What’s Next for Kindersley Chamber?
Everyone around town is still talking about Goose Fest! It was amazing! The weather cooperated, the vendors all were busy and many, many people came out to take in the festivities for the 2024 Goose Festival, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. The day started off just a tad cool but as soon as the sun came out around noon, it was a completely enjoyable day. The annual parade was HUGE as lots of companies and organizations were showing off who they are and what they do. This was preceded by a pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall. The Rotary Club was busy helping set up the parade barricades and making sure the parade route was clear and safe. The food trucks were busy getting ready and the streets began to fill with excited parade watchers. The Kin Club was setting up for their Duck Derby and even Dakota Buttar came out to sign some autographs and take some pictures. Main Street was crazy busy with people, especially the east end where the Saskatchewan Roadmen were having a Car Club Show & Shine. Those older cars and trucks sure do bring back a ton of nostalgia for the older crowd. The older kids had the rock climbing wall to maneuver and Better Together had something for the younger crowd (bouncy castles) etc. All in all, it was an incredibly fun and successful day.
So what’s next? I believe our AGM will be scheduled for sometime in November and the gift cards are available for all occasions all year long. Our next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 17th at the Synergy Credit Union. Any and all members are always welcome to attend. And up next for events is the 2025 Career Day on March 26th to be held at the Kindersley Composite School. If you’re looking for employees, then this the place to be. See you next issue and thanks for reading!
