2024 Fall Fire School A Success

The Saskatchewan Volunteer Firefighters Association’s fall fire school, hosted by Kindersley Fire, was a great success! Attended by over 200 students and instructors, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive—praising everything from the facilities to the quality of instruction and hands-on assistance with drills. Many attendees noted the excellent organization of the event, the professionalism of the instructors, and the valuable real-world training they received.

“It was a great weekend helping to train vehicle firefighting at the Saskatchewan Volunteer Fire Fighter’s Association’s fall fire school hosted by Kindersley Fire. Firefighters and instructors from across the province took part in this fall’s fire school. Great job to fire chief Jeff Soveran and all his firefighters for putting on an amazing event. And great job to all the firefighters who took the vehicle firefighting course for a job well done,” shared Deputy Chief Chris Ashfield of the Whitewood Fire Department.

“The students and instructors, took advantage of our hospitality by visiting restaurants, staying in our hotels, and spending some time out experiencing our nightlife. Special thanks to the KCS High School, Curling Club for supplying 1st class services and venues for classes, and trade shows, meals, and entertainment,” shared Fire Chief Jeff Soveran.

Kindersley Fire would like to give special thanks to the Town of Kindersley, & RM290 and community for their continued support of the fire department. By supplying top grade equipment and training facilities, without this we would not be able to hold these events.
