A Memorable Trip and Tasty Recipes

As the weather turns cold and the leaves change color, we are thinking back to a trip we took earlier this summer.

Margaret, Brad Burgardt, Helen, Trevor, and Liam loaded up the bus with Alyssa, Michelle, Alyssa, and Brianna and headed to the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo. It was a busy day with lots to see, including the butterfly house and a big bear.

It was wonderful to get up close with so many animals. Favorites included the porcupine, and having butterflies land on or near us! They enjoyed a picnic lunch and saw more of the zoo before heading back home with an ice cream treat for the road.

This is a destination that will be on the list again in the future!

In other news, this month, Dani has been busy cooking healthy homemade meals, including Caesar salad with lasagna, vegetable soup from scratch, and delicious pesto pasta. If you have a favorite recipe to share, she would love to try it out. Please send them to us!

While Dani has been busy in the kitchen, one Sunday afternoon, Lainey, Brad, and Aaron watched a One Direction documentary on Netflix. If you see Lainey around town, be sure to ask her who she thinks is the best singer.
