Kyle Colony Students Win in Royal Purple Poster Contest
Congratulations to students from Kyle Colony School who were winners in the annual Royal Purple National Poster Contest. Last year, over 500 posters were submitted across Canada and a similar number entered this year. The theme of this year’s contest was promoting healthy choices to protect the brain.
Winners in grade categories each receive a cash prize along with a certificate. The Grand Champion poster was selected as the best among all the first-place posters and received additional prize money and a championship certificate. Their poster will also be featured on the Canadian Royal Purple website.
Emma Hofer of Kyle Colony School, who was the Grades 5-6 first place winner was selected as the Grand Champion. Other Kyle students who were recognized were Noah Waldner (Grades 3-4, third place), Ted Hofer (Grades 3-4, first place), and Esher Hofer (Grades 1-2, first place).
Sandi Lougheed, the Chair of the Canadian Royal Purple BrainLove Committee came to Kyle Colony School to present the students with their certificates. Kyle Colony School Principal, Mrs. Frame, expressed pride in all her students who entered the contest.
