Speeding Driver Receives $832 Ticket

Last week, a driver was reminded about the importance of adhering to the posted speed limits when they received a hefty speeding ticket. How? Listen to this.

It was an early, foggy morning in the northwest side of the province. As Saskatchewan RCMP officers were driving down Highway 21 near Cut Knife, they noted a driver pass them and the car in front of them at an extreme speed. The driver was going 153 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. You can guess what happens next – they were pulled over and received a $832 ticket for exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 50 km/hr.

Friendly reminder: The posted speed limit is for ideal weather conditions. Adjust your driving if the road is wet, icy, snowy or visibility is reduced by fog or snow or otherwise. Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination safely.

Stay safe, Saskatchewan!
