Four Blooms for Eston’s Communities in Bloom!
The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) have announced the winners of Saskatchewan’s 2024 Communities in Bloom program, recognizing all 37 provincial participants for their efforts to beautify and enhance their communities. Participants were evaluated based on Community Appearance, Environmental Action, Heritage Conservation, Tree Management, Landscape, and Plant & Floral Displays. Participants were awarded a Bloom Rating, and through the program’s evaluation, Special Recognition Awards and a Photo Contest.
This year, Eston was the Provincial Winner in the 501-1,000 population category, receiving an impressive four blooms with special recognition for their Environmental Action, particularly for water conservation in their Ball Diamonds Project.
Eston’s Communities in Bloom group has been enhancing the town since 2000, consistently earning at least four blooms over the past twenty years. This year marks their twenty-fifth year as an organization!
