Doreen’s passion was her faith in God and her family.

In 1974 Doreen and her girls were involved in a serious car accident which took her eye sight but not her spirit. Doreen’s strong determination and faith pushed her to go through a two month adjustment training at the CNIB in Saskatoon, SK.

She was an inspiration to many people by the way she coped to raise a growing family, cooking, baking and keeping a home. She educated many children at Westberry and Elizabeth school on visual impairment and how to cope with aspects of daily living while being visually impaired.

For many years Doreen used her heightened touch to treat many clients in Reflexology treatments.

She was very involved with St. Olaf Church with Ladies Bible Studies, Church Council and prayer groups.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing cards, knitting, gardening and listening to her audiobooks.
