New Sun West Board of Education Chair and Vice-Chair
On November 19, Sub-division 2 Trustee Michele Whitfield (above left) was chosen Board Chair and Sub-division 7 Trustee Cathy Morrow (above right) was selected Board Vice-Chair at the first meeting of the new Sun West Board of Education. This was the first meeting held after the November 13 Board of Education election. Committee assignments and other responsibilities were also delegated during this meeting.
This was primarily an orientation meeting with senior management as well as Darren McKee, the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association (SSBA) providing extensive information about the responsibilities, procedures and practices of school boards and trustees.
