Countdown to Curling: Kindersley Hosts First-Ever Combined Provincial Championships

The wait is nearly over, and the curling world has its eyes on Kindersley! In just a few short weeks, the West Central Events Centre (Inter-Pipeline Arena) will welcome athletes and fans for the first-ever combined Sasktel Men’s Tankard and Viterra Women’s Prairie Pinnacle Curling Provincial Championships. This event will also be televised, bringing top-tier curling directly into homes.

Set to take place from January 21 to 26, 2025, a total of 18 elite teams (nine men’s and nine women’s) will compete in a round-robin format, with four draws each weekday beginning at 8a.m, giving fans plenty of opportunities to catch the action and cheer on their favorites.

Lexie Adamson, committee chair, shared her excitement:

“On behalf of the host committee, I would like to welcome everyone to Kindersley as we host the 1st ever combined Sasktel Men’s Tankard and Viterra Prairie Pinnacle Provincial Curling Championships Jan 21st to 26th, 2025. Very exciting times for the Kindersley Curling Club, our Town, and Facilities. Please head down to the West Central Events Centre to watch some elite curling in the Inter-Pipeline Arena, enjoy some great company at the Kelly Insurance Patch & dine in the Longhorn Lounge. There is something for everyone to enjoy with week-day curling draws taking place at 8am, noon, 4pm, and 8pm.
