Sobkow to Succeed Vossen as Richardson’s New President and CEO
Richardson International will have a new chief executive officer for the first time in nearly three decades.
Hartley Richardson, chair of Richardson’s board, announced the appointment of Darwin Sobkow as incoming president and chief executive officer of the Winnipeg-based multinational grain and food ingredient company on Monday.
Sobkow will replace Curt Vossen, who is retiring as of January 10, 2025 after serving as Richardson’s president and CEO since 1995.
The company says Sobkow brings more than thirty years of experience to the role, from grain handling and crop inputs retailing in Canada and the U.S. to oilseed crushing, oat and durum milling, malting, and food ingredients packaging in North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. He most recently served as Richardson’s chief operations officer.
Vossen led the company through major growth and diversification, including expansions across North America and into the U.K. and Europe.
