SJHL Players of the Week

SGEU MVP of the Week: Keenan Ingram, Yorkton Terriers

It’s the second week in a row that Ingram has won the league’s MVP award, and with his second hat trick in 2025, which came Sunday vs. Battlefords, it was hard to deny him. He added a two-goal game Wednesday in Weyburn and has 13 points in just six games since the calendar turned over.
Weekly Stats: 3 GP, 5 G, 0 A, 5 PTS

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Jerome Maharaj, Weyburn Red Wings

Weyburn’s magical playmaker was at it again with two and three assist nights this past week. Stretching back to Dec. 19, Maharaj is on a run of 14 points in just six contests and is such a threat to make something happen every time he’s on the ice.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 0 G, 5 A, 5 PTS

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Max Chakrabarti, Weyburn Red Wings

Chakrabarti leads SJHL defencemen in scoring by a clear five points heading into this week and had three critical assists in two more Weyburn wins this past week. He leads the whole SJHL in power play assists with a whopping 20 and power play points with 23.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 0 G, 3 A, 3 pts

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Matthew Kieper, Flin Flon Bombers

Flin Flon’s trip to Humboldt this past weekend was one to have been circled, and Kieper was dominant in both Bomber wins. The long-time WHLer has still yet to lose in regulation in 13 games in Maroon, and Flin Flon’s unbeaten run is now at a remarkable 19 contests. Kieper deserves a lot of the credit.
Weekly Stats: 2 starts, 2-0-0-0 record, .949 SV%, 1.50 GAA

IKS Media Rookie of the Week: Avery Johnson, Kindersley Klippers

Kindersley’s acquisition of big-scoring forward Mason Bueckert at the deadline took many of the headlines, but Johnson, a fairly new Klipper, was huge this past week. He scored goals in both wins against Nipawin over the weekend, as the club effectively bounced back from a tough shootout loss to Notre Dame midweek.
Weekly Stats: 3 GP, 2 G, 2 A, 4 PTS

Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Tate Schofer, Yorkton Terriers (from Regi, Sask)

The injury bug has continued to bite Schofer all year, but he is a problem for the opposition whenever he is healthy. He showed that again this past weekend, posting a four-point night in Sunday’s big win over Battlefords, and is another big weapon in Yorkton’s considerable arsenal.
Weekly Stats: 3 GP, 1 G, 4 A, 5 PTS
