A keen-eyed officer with the SPS (Saskatoon Police Service) Traffic Unit took a dangerous mix of weapons and drugs off the streets last week, leading to the arrest of four individuals.
Around 11:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025, the officer spotted a Jeep Compass being driven by a suspicious individual and conducted a traffic stop at Quebec Avenue and 33rd Street East. Inside the vehicle were two men and two women. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was found to have multiple outstanding Criminal Code warrants and was prohibited from driving. Upon his arrest, the officer discovered cash and a bag of methamphetamine. A further search of the vehicle uncovered a sawed-off shotgun, a knife, and additional weapons.
Thanks to the officer’s vigilance, all four occupants are now facing a total of 17 charges.
