Curtwood Bearsman

Born and raised in Kindersley, Curtwood Bearsman brings a unique blend of metal-inspired intensity and chill acoustic vibes to the Canadian prairies.

Curtwood launched his solo acoustic career in 2015 with the release of his self-titled EP, featuring the standout track La Guitarra, which earned him a spot in CBC’s Searchlight Competition Top 25 for Saskatchewan. The following year, after stepping away from a graduate program in theology, he released his debut full-length album, Divinity Dropout, featuring Middle Earth—a song that reflects his deep love for adventure.

His musical journey then took him far from the prairies, performing in beachside hotels and among volcanic craters across Australia and New Zealand. Now, after years of exploration and songwriting, Curtwood has returned home, balancing his passions as an online teacher and aspiring weightlifter while continuing to create and share new music and visuals.

Stay tuned—there’s much more to come from this prairie-born storyteller.
