Town of Kindersley Council Meeting Highlights – March 24, 2025
The Town Council held its Regular Meeting on Monday, March 24, 2025, addressing several key matters:
7.1 – New Park Name Announced
After receiving over 65 name submissions for the Name the 7th Street West Park contest, Council selected “West Winds Park” as the official name. A big thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to the individual who submitted the winning name!
7.2 – 2025 Watermain Replacement Contract Awarded
Council awarded Gee Bee Construction as the successful bidder for the 2025 Watermain Replacement project. The Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) have been directed to enter into an agreement totaling $759,850.00 plus applicable taxes.
7.3 – Purchase of Mini Excavator
Council approved the purchase of a Mini Excavator from Finning Canada for $132,779.70, as per the submitted tender.
7.4 – Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Agreement
The Mayor and CAO have been authorized to enter into a three-year agreement with Municipal Sewer Maintenance Ltd. for the cleaning of the Town’s sanitary sewers.
8.1 – Financial Report
Council accepted the list of accounts paid by the Town of Kindersley, totaling $312,082.27.
10.1 – Consent Agenda Approved
