
The Alberta Government generated $5.1 million from its April 2 Crown land sale.
A total of 9,456 hectares were sold at an average price of $543.79 per hectare. It was a relatively small and uneventful sale overall.
The highest bonus bid came from Yangarra Resources, which paid $441,311 each for two parcels of land located west of Rocky Mountain House. Each parcel covered one section (256 hectares) and included rights from the surface to the base of the Viking formation.
