Prince Albert GIS Seeking Information, Video to Assist in Fatal Pedestrian Collision Investigation

On May 20, 2025 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a deceased individual on Highway #11, just south of the turn-off to MacDowall.

Officers immediately responded and located a deceased adult male. He has not been formally identified, so we are not providing additional details about him at this time.

Preliminary investigation determined the male had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. It’s believed the incident occurred in the southbound lanes.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert General Investigation Section (GIS) is now investigating the male’s death, and is trying to locate the vehicle involved.

Investigators believe the vehicle is a black Jeep, which likely has damage to its front end.

They ask anyone who captured surveillance or dashcam footage on Highway #11 south of MacDowall between midnight and 2:15 a.m. to report it to police.

They also would like to speak to anyone travelling in the area at that time, or who may know where the damaged black Jeep is.

Report footage or information to GIS by dialling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

The southbound lanes of Highway #11 were closed during initial investigation, but have since re-opened.
