United Church Marks 100 Years on June 10, 2025
On June 10, 2025, the United Church of Canada will mark a significant milestone—its 100th anniversary. This centennial is a powerful opportunity to honour a legacy of faith, unity, and justice while stepping together into the future.
Here in Kindersley, the Rev. Piotr along with St. Paul’s United Church invite you to join in on this celebration. Whether you’ve been part of the church for decades or are simply curious about its message, all are welcome to celebrate and reflect.
Under a call of Deep Spirituality, Bold Discipleship, and Daring Justice, the Centennial reflects the spirit that has guided the United Church since its formation in 1925. As one of the world’s first “united” churches, it brought together Presbyterian, Methodist, and Congregationalist traditions under a shared vision, one rooted in the hope of unity, the courage of action, and the compassion of Christ.
- Deep Spirituality echoes Jesus’ prayer “that they may all be one” (John 17:21), a guiding scripture that has shaped the United Church’s approach to faith and inclusion.
- Bold Discipleship speaks to a community that chooses connection over division, holding fast to the belief that what unites us is far stronger than what separates us.
- Daring Justice drives the church’s commitment to social and environmental justice both at home and across the globe, living out the gospel message through advocacy, action, and care.
