“We Will Remain on Standby,” Says FC Jeff Soveran
A message from Kindersley Fire Chief, Jeff Soveran:
“With the recent rainfall, we are seeing many members of various departments returning home safely. However, this does not mean all wildfires have been extinguished. Many remain active, and crews are still out fighting them. More rain is forecast, but continued vigilance is essential.
At the Kindersley Fire Department, my crew and I made a commitment, to the province, to our communities, to evacuees, and to our fellow fire departments, that we would remain on standby, and then reassess on June 26th. As such, we will be keeping our equipment ready and our team prepared to respond, should we be called upon to assist.
Thank you to all volunteers and emergency crews for your ongoing hard work and support.”
