Travels with Melissa and Kevin As They Head to The Berry Barn

It’s adventure time again for Melissa and Kevin. Today features a trip to The Berry Barn about 10 km from Saskatoon on Valley Road. We had made reservations for Father’s Day and it was quite busy as you can imagine! I have always liked going out there because the people are so nice and the food is incredible. This Father’s Day feast included roast beef, meatballs, perogies, cabbage rolls, salads, vegetables, fruits and more. The Saskatoon pie was amazing and filling! Of course, saskatoon berries are what they are famous for and should be ready for picking in a few weeks.  It has been a family-owned business serving home-made meals for over 25 years and you can tell by the pride they take in their meal preparations and customer service, that many more years will follow.

It’s peaceful walking the trail overlooking the South Saskatchewan River but also disturbing to see the water level so low. There are some spots where you could literally walk across!

They accept bookings for corporate meetings and weddings. From March to December, The Berry Barn is a busy place.  It is not just a destination; it’s an experience! Walking around and seeing all the plants and shrubs from the greenhouse to sitting and having a leisurely coffee and snack, The Berry Barn is a relaxing place to visit. And they also have a souvenir shop with baked goods. Just doesn’t get any better than that does it?

So visit the Berry Barn and discover all they have to offer.  It’s not far away and you won’t be disappointed.
