Kindersley Fire Department Welcomes New Rosenbauer Pumper Truck to Fleet

The Kindersley Fire Department has officially welcomed a new Rosenbauer pumper truck to its fleet—engineered specifically to handle the extreme winters of Saskatchewan. Built with an enclosed top-mount pump panel, this state-of-the-art truck is not only protected against the elements but also offers additional seating for the crew.

The new apparatus is equipped with:

  • Freightliner 114SD Chassis
  • Rosenbauer FX Body
  • Hale QMAX XS 1250 GPM Pump
  • 500 Imperial Gallon Water Tank
  • 30 Imperial Gallon Foam Tank

Dealer: Rocky Mountain Phoenix

Designed for durability and efficiency in, this pumper is expected to significantly enhance emergency response capabilities in Kindersley and the surrounding area. Its powerful pump and onboard water and foam tanks make it well-suited for situations our Department faces.

The top-mount pump panel is fully enclosed, giving firefighters shelter from subzero temperatures while maintaining control of the truck’s systems. This design not only protects personnel from the weather but also extends the life of the equipment.

One of the standout features of the new truck is its integrated SAM (Scene Apparatus Manager) system, a cutting-edge tool that simplifies pump operations. SAM is a digital water flow controller that automates pressure management and valve operation, allowing firefighters to focus more on fireground safety and crew coordination. SAM is not an acronym, but rather a name given to the system to represent its function as a manager of the apparatus.

This new truck is another step forward for the Kindersley Fire Department as it works towards modernizing its fleet while enhancing community safety and protection.
