Luseland Police Service Report – June 2025

In June, the Luseland Police Service (LPS) remained actively involved in keeping the community safe, responding to a wide range of calls and assisting several partner agencies. Here’s a summary of this month’s activity:


Partner Agency Assistance:

  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP):
    • Helped secure a crime scene
    • Assisted with the recovery of stolen property
    • Aided in arresting both a wanted woman and a man
    • Supported the issuance of an immediate roadside suspension
  • Canadian Firearms Program (CFP):
    • Assisted with an investigation related to firearms regulations

Calls Related to Traffic and Driving:

  • 2 impaired driving complaints
  • 2 general driving complaints
  • 2 parking by-law complaints
  • Responded to one motor vehicle collision

Suspicious and Criminal Activity:

  • 8 reports involving suspicious vehicles, persons, or activity
  • Responded to one domestic assault and one domestic dispute
  • Investigated a complaint of uttering threats
  • Looked into a reported break and enter—determined no criminal offence occurred
  • 2 reports of theft under $5,000
  • 1 report of mischief under $5,000
  • 1 report of mischief over $5,000

Community Safety and Wellness:

  • Responded to one alarm call
  • Carried out a property check at a resident’s request
  • Responded to a mental health-related call
  • Attended a medical emergency and provided care until EMS arrived
  • Issued a warning under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act
