Luseland Police Service Report – June 2025
In June, the Luseland Police Service (LPS) remained actively involved in keeping the community safe, responding to a wide range of calls and assisting several partner agencies. Here’s a summary of this month’s activity:
Partner Agency Assistance:
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP):
- Helped secure a crime scene
- Assisted with the recovery of stolen property
- Aided in arresting both a wanted woman and a man
- Supported the issuance of an immediate roadside suspension
- Canadian Firearms Program (CFP):
- Assisted with an investigation related to firearms regulations
Calls Related to Traffic and Driving:
- 2 impaired driving complaints
- 2 general driving complaints
- 2 parking by-law complaints
- Responded to one motor vehicle collision
Suspicious and Criminal Activity:
- 8 reports involving suspicious vehicles, persons, or activity
- Responded to one domestic assault and one domestic dispute
- Investigated a complaint of uttering threats
- Looked into a reported break and enter—determined no criminal offence occurred
- 2 reports of theft under $5,000
- 1 report of mischief under $5,000
- 1 report of mischief over $5,000
Community Safety and Wellness:
- Responded to one alarm call
- Carried out a property check at a resident’s request
- Responded to a mental health-related call
- Attended a medical emergency and provided care until EMS arrived
- Issued a warning under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act
