The Medicine Hat Police Service Major Crime Unit has concluded an investigation following a report from a female complainant who believed she was surreptitiously recorded while in a state of undress in a private area of an acquaintance’s residence.
A thorough investigation was conducted, which involved the execution of several search warrants and the forensic examination of electronic devices. This led to the discovery of evidence substantiating the original complaint, as well as uncovering additional offences.
As a result of the investigation, Roy Jebson, 76 years of age, of Medicine Hat, has been charged with three counts of voyeurism, as well as offences related to the possession, making, and accessing of child pornography.
Jebson was held for an interim judicial release hearing and has since been released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court in Medicine Hat on August 13, 2025.
