Wishing You a Great School Year Ahead!

September has arrived, which means backpacks are packed, buses are rolling, and schools have officially welcomed students back into the classroom (some little ones have also started daycare)!

“Saskatchewan schools are giving our students their best start and the start of a new school year is a memorable and an exciting experience,” Education Minister Everett Hindley said. “This is a big day for students, families and educators across the province, and I want to wish everyone a successful 2025-26 school year.”

Of course, it takes a whole team to make school a success. From teachers and educational assistants, to parents, family members, coaches, trustees, administrators, and support staff; everyone plays a role in helping students thrive.

The Government of Saskatchewan says it’s continuing to put a spotlight on student success. Investments are being made in early literacy for kindergarten to Grade 3 students, plus the expansion of Specialized Supports Classrooms. Over the next four years, 200 new classrooms will be added to ensure more students have the tools and guidance they need to succeed.

The goal? To make sure every student feels safe, supported, and ready to take on today’s challenges—and tomorrow’s opportunities.

And a reminder for drivers: school zones and playgrounds are busy again, so please slow down and keep an eye out for students.

Here’s to a safe, exciting, and successful school year—good luck learners!
