Smile Cooking Campaign Raises Impressive Amount
The Town of Kindersley once again partnered with our local Tim Hortons to support a fantastic organization making a difference in the community.
The recent Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised an impressive $4,400 for the Kindersley Early Years Family Resource Centre. This organization, which opened earlier this year in the old RM building on Main Street, provides essential programs and support for young families in the area.
During Smile Cookie Week, the Town of Kindersley contributes one councillor per day to help decorate cookies alongside a volunteer from the receiving organization. Together, they add the signature smiles to cookies sold throughout the week. Every dollar from these sales goes directly to the selected charity. The Smile Cookie campaigns take place twice a year, during both the spring and fall, and consistently bring the community together to make a positive impact.
The cheque presentation for this campaign was held before the face-off at a recent Kindersley Klippers hockey game. Members of Town council, Tim Hortons staff, and representatives from the Early Years Family Resource Centre gathered on the ice for a photo op.
A big thank-you goes out to everyone who purchased Smile Cookies, volunteered their time, or spread the word about the campaign. Your support helps create opportunities for growth in our community!
Happy Holidays!
