Restaurants and Other Businesses Across Kindersley Can Now Increase Capacity

By Mallorie Rast

As Phase 4.2 of Reopen Saskatchewan continues to unfold across the province, establishments across Kindersley are seeing increased mobility and ability to serve their customers.

Restaurants and dining places in the Kindersley area can also expand their seating capacity past 50%, as long as staff and patrons can maintain social distancing. VLTs, pool tables, dartboards, arcade games and other recreation areas will also be able to re-open as long as distancing of no less than two meters can be maintained.

Wheatland Regional library announced that interlibrary loans within the Wheatland branch can now be placed. However, the dates for orders being fulfilled has yet to be determined as library trucks are not making deliveries. The Kindersley Library will remain closed to the public but will continue to fulfill requests for materials that are within the library itself through curbside pickup. Patrons can call 306-463-4141 or email  kindersley.library@wheatland.sk.ca in order to schedule their pick up. The book drop off is open, so returns can be made at any time.

As of July 9th, casinos and bingo halls have been able to re-open, while enforcing an occupancy limit that allows staff and patrons to maintain social distancing at all times.

Next week, race and rodeo-related tracks and arenas will be able to open, effective July 16th.
