Retired Fire Chief Ron Hope the 2022 Recipient of the CVFSA Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations to Retired Fire Chief Ron Hope the 2022 recipient of the CVFSA lifetime achievement award.

The Volunteer Firefighters of Canada annually honors a volunteer firefighter or fire officer whose outstanding achievements in the fire service and community exemplify the duties of a firefighter. Nominated by their peers, the recipients are awarded an Irish Style Cut Glass custom-made crystal vase and a place in history within the Canadian firefighting community.

Ron was presented the award in front of his peers and special guests on Monday October 18-2022, at a luncheon held at the ELKS hall in Kindersley.

Brian Starkell the National President of the Volunteer Firefighters of Canada was on hand to present the award.

Representatives from the Town of Kindersley were Mayor Rod Perkins, Deputy Mayor Randy Ervine, Councillor Warren Schaffer, and CAO Audrey Hebert.

RM290 Representatives were Reeve Lionel Story and Councillor Lorne Pinceman.

Also in attendance was retired Fire Chief Don Morgan and members of the Kindersley Fire Department.
