Richmound, Sask. Residents Holding Peaceful Rally Today Hoping ‘QAnon Queen’ and Supporters Will Leave Town

A spokesperson for the Village of Richmound has reported that residents of this small community in southwestern Saskatchewan, along with neighboring towns, are organizing a peaceful rally with the aim of pressuring a self-proclaimed “QAnon queen” and her followers to vacate the area.

The rally will be held at noon on Saturday after Richmound Mayor Brad Miller holds a news conference at the village’s town office at 11:30 a.m. Residents are working together with RCMP to ensure everyones safety

Romana Didulo, who identifies herself as the “queen of Canada,” and her supporters have been residing on private property in Richmound, formerly a school, since they were expelled from the town of Kamsack on September 13.

The U.S.-based Anti-Defamation League characterizes Didulo as a “Canadian QAnon figure” who has advocated for “violent actions” against those involved in administering COVID-19 vaccines to children.

Since the group’s arrival in Richmound in September, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have been investigating threats, including warnings of public executions targeting those who oppose the group’s presence in the community.

Residents of Richmound and the surrounding areas have expressed discomfort with this group, which they describe as having cult-like characteristics, residing in their village, which has a population of just over 100 people. Some residents have admitted to feeling unsafe.

To address the situation, the RCMP has established a mobile detachment in Richmound, staffed around the clock, seven days a week, to respond to any potential service calls in the area.

Richmound, Saskatchewan, is situated to the north of Maple Creek, approximately 445 kilometers west of Regina, near the Alberta border.
