Battlefords North Stars and Kindersley Klippers duked it out Friday and Saturday

Both Friday and Saturday were action packed games.

As the regular hockey season comes to an end, Friday night’s game between the Battlefords North Stars and the Kindersley Klippers, saw the North Stars take home a 5-4 win.

The North Stars took the lead in the first period, with the score sitting at 2-1. Kindersley’s goal in the first was scored by Mckenzie (ASST), Traptow, and Borbely at 18:49.

The second period saw Kindersley score two goals, one at 12:41 by Maxwell and Michalevich. The second goal was scored by King and Mack at 15:14, but the North Stars managed to sneak a goal in, and at the end of the second, the score sat at 3-3.

Liam Fraser and Sam Witt scored another goal at 5:45, but it wasn’t enough, and the North Stars scored two goals in the third, leaving the night to finish with a 4-5 win over the Klippers.

However, Saturday’s game saw the Klippers take home a 3-1.

In the first period, Lindsay, Schnapp, and Michalevich scored the first goal of the game at 13:59, and Fraser, Borbely, and McKenzie score the second at 17:53.

In the second, King and Schnapp scored Kindersley’s third and final goal of the game at 12:59, sealing the 3-1 win.
