Summertime in Saskatchewan Warms New Novella

Regina-based author, Margot Johnson, has published her 5th book

SASKATCHEWAN — Margot Johnson, a Regina-based author of two novels and a novella series,
has published her third romance novella, Let it Simmer, a story she says is a “quintessential summer”
story for readers in Saskatchewan.

Published in March, the rom-com novella features a quirky cast of characters discovering mishaps,
adventure, and romance while a fifty-ish woman pursues her dream job of leading a bus tour across
several Saskatchewan locales, including Saskatoon, Melfort, Nipawin, and Waskesiu — all with a little
matchmaking thrown in.

“I grew up in a family of writers and used to dream about writing a book. Now, I’m an author of five
books published with The Wild Rose Press, and I’m so proud to be a part of the great community of
writers in Regina and Saskatchewan,” says Johnson.

Johnson says her books, described as heartwarming and wholesome romances, are set in the prairies
due to her love of the province. She says there are so many books set in faraway places, why not here in
Saskatchewan, too.

“Although all the characters, local restaurants, and other tourist attractions are fictional, the landscape
and spirit of our province is real,” she adds.

“It’s a light, fun read, ideal for the deck, beach or anytime you want to dream of summer.”
All five of Johnson’s books are available in major online bookstores including Amazon, Indigo, Barnes
and Nobel, and anywhere ebooks are sold.

Johnson has always loved books and writing. She believes in giving back to the writing community
and is currently serving as Vice-President on the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Writers’
Guild.

He crashed her holiday…but will he break her heart?

Why is Susan seated next to her high school crush on a summer bus tour? She just wants a little family time with her two cousins, but she feels like a fluttery teenage girl.

Thirty years later, Phil is as charming and handsome as ever, but she doesn’t need a new partner, especially not a love-’em-and-leave-’em guy.

Happily single, Phil tags along to celebrate his matchmaking mom’s birthday. She’s embarrassingly persistent, but maybe she’s right he should, finally, settle down with the right woman.

One thing’s for sure…this holiday isn’t what anybody expected!
