Impared Driver, Suspicious Vehicle, and Hot Tub Scam Part of Rosetown’s RCMP Weekly Report

Between October 31st and November 3rd, Rosetown RCMP received several reports of a  Facebook hot tub fraud scam. Rosetown RCMP remind individuals to be cautious of putting deposits down especially when it comes to on-line purchases. 

There were 51 Traffic related charges issued, 1 911 miss dial call and 1 false alarm call.

October 29th at 7:44 a.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on  Highway 4 near Elrose, SK. There was insufficient evidence to proceed. At 4:46 p.m., RCMP received a report of a round bale on Highway 15. Members were able to remove the bale with the assistance of a neighboring farmer. At 7:33p.m., RCMP received a report of an impaired driver. Members patrolled and located the vehicle. A 30-year-old female from Elrose was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle. At 10:47 p.m. A report was recived of an erratic driver on  Highway 4. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. 

October 30th 9:16 a.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of motor vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries – matter reported for insurance purposes. At 4:42 p.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Rosetown, SK. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. 

October 31st at 2:17 p.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint and nothing further was required. At 5:35 p.m., RCMP received a complaint of mischief. Members  spoke to the subject of complaint.

November 1st at 10:32 a.m., RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check. The matter is still under investigation. At 1:05 p.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious person at a Rosetown residence. Members attended and spoke to the complainant. At 1:28 p.m. a call was received of theft of gas from a Rosetown business. The matter is still under investigation. At 1:30 p.m., saw Rosetown RCMP receive a report of an abandoned vehicle at a Rosetown business. The vehicle was gone upon member arrival. 

November 2nd at 7:18 a.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Laura, SK. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. At 12:01, a request for a wellbeing check was made. Members attended and transported the subject of complaint to the Rosetown Hospital for assessment. At 3:51 p.m., RCMP received a report of an erratic driver in Rosetown, SK. Members located the vehicle and spoke to the subject of complaint. At 8:38 p.m., A wellbeing check was called in.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint.  

November 3rd at 11:12 p.m., RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, SK. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. 

November 4th at 8:08 a.m., a report of fraud was recived. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
