First Dennis’ Welding Customer Appreciation Day a Success!
A wonderful sunny and warm day set the stage for the 1st ever Dennis Welding Customer Appreciation & Welding Skills Display day. And what better way to say thank you, than with some food! Beef-on-a-bun and salad were the “treats” of choice and boy were they good!
Owner Grant Casswell said that he wanted to do this for his customers a couple of years ago but unfortunately, Covid took a bite out of that. Dennis Welding has always been known for high quality work with dedicated employees and since Grant bought the business back in 2015, he has continued on that path.
There were stations set up to observe different types of welding; * Shielded Metal Arc Welding * Gas Metal Arc Welding * Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. All of these methods of welding are important in the welding arena. A welder must be qualified and certified to use each method.
Safety is always one of the most important aspects of welding. Grant ensures that all the workers not only work safe but also teach others.
Quality control “foreman” Tannis, said they are always on the scout for new employees who want an excellent career with knowledgeable and safety conscious management who care. Sometimes finding employees can be a challenge but Tannis said they are looking to do a presentation to high school students who want a fulfilling career. Surprisingly, young girls are finding the welding business interesting and are working in jobs as shop helper, etc and they can move up from there.
This busy shop could always use a few more good workers. How about you?
