Meet Doug Odnokon, Board Member with the Kindersley & District Chamber of Commerce
Hello. My name is Doug Odnokon, and I am the Branch Manager at HUB International (which was formerly Kindersley Insurance) and I am also a board member with the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce.
My wife Annamarie, our dog Hobo and I just moved to Kindersley this year. We were previously up north in Prince Albert and we wanted to get back to the southwest to keep in closer proximity with family which is very important to both of us. I had spent 30 years working in all areas of Saskatchewan in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster. I spent 21 years with SGI and then went and worked the next 9 years as an independent adjuster.
When the opportunity came up to not only get back to the southwest but to join HUB International, my wife and I had no problems jumping at the opportunity. Since we moved here to Kindersley, we have found the community very welcoming and hospitable. We have a movie theatre, golf course, indoor track and some great local shopping here in town. My wife and I are truly happy to now call Kindersley home.
I am now a spectator of football, baseball and hockey and also love to play golf and fish. We are truly lucky to have Sr. baseball, hockey and the Junior Klippers all available for our entertainment, along with Flatlanders Raceway.
In the many locations of Saskatchewan that I have lived, I have learned that the business community is only as strong as their Chamber of Commerce and I felt that it would be a great way to get involved in the community. I have met some great people who are very passionate about our town and I am excited to see what the next year brings.
