Alberta Woman Facing Charges In Saskatoon for Fraud over $97,000

A woman from Alberta is facing fraud charges in Saskatoon following numerous fraud-related incidents.

The Saskatoon Police Service reported receiving multiple complaints in September and October 2023 about family or grandparent scams, with each complainant being swindled out of thousands of dollars.

The 28-year-old suspect was apprehended on Feb. 13 by the Calgary Police Service following the issuance of a public notice.

Police claim the accused has swindled victims out of more than $97,000.

She is facing 10 counts of fraud exceeding $5,000, in addition to charges of impersonating a police officer and illegal possession of a credit card acquired through criminal activities.
