Mugshot Released after Trump Surrenders

Following his surrender to authorities in Georgia on charges related to an alleged plot to subvert the 2020 election, the mugshot of ex-U.S. president Donald Trump has been unveiled.

Trump’s surrender occurred subsequent to the surrender of his attorney and close associate, Rudy Giuliani, who turned himself in the previous Wednesday.

Last week, Trump, along with Giuliani and 17 others, was formally indicted. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis asserted that they engaged in a broad conspiracy aimed at thwarting the will of voters following the Republican president’s defeat to Democrat Joe Biden in November 2020.

In the Georgia case, the former president is confronting 13 felony charges, including racketeering, typically used to target organized crime, for pressuring state officials to reverse his election loss and setting up an illegitimate slate of electors to undermine the formal congressional certification of Biden’s 2020 victory.

Additionally, Trump faces two sets of federal charges from Special Counsel Jack Smith, involving election interference in Washington and retaining classified documents in Miami, subsequent to his departure from office in 2021. The cumulative number of criminal charges reaches 91.

As part of the arrangement, Trump consented to a $200,000 bond and agreed to adhere to bail conditions preventing him from intimidating witnesses or co-defendants in the Georgia case.

At the time of surrender, Trump’s physical attributes were recorded in Fulton County jail records: he weighed 215 pounds, stood at six feet and three inches, possessed “strawberry or blond hair,” and had blue eyes.

Shortly after the release of the mugshot, the Trump campaign initiated the sale of T-shirts featuring the mugshot along with the phrase “NEVER SURRENDER” online, priced at $34.
