Klippers Vs Notre Dame Hounds

The joint was a jumpin’ !!  The WCEC was invaded by all 3 Kindersley schools, as well as students from Coleville and Marengo for an afternoon of “Hookey for hockey” as the hometown Kindersley Klippers faced off against the visiting Notre Dame Hounds.  The final score was 5 to 0 for Kindersley as Cody “Noodles” Jaman recorded his 2nd shut out of the season.  He faced 35 Hounds shots and stopped every one of them.  The entire team played as a cohesive unit and looked formidable as they outskated and outscored the opposition.

Captain Logan (Links) Linklater scored the first and game winning goal with only 1:44 off the clock. The entire arena of 1,457 jubilant fans made so much noise, it was hard to hear yourself think!!  Local product Cobe Perlinger also had a goal in the 1st period, as did Logan Cox. Keenan Ingram scored in the 2nd and Brock Evans potted one in the 3rd.  Notre Dame goalie Jesse Pye started the game but was pulled after the 1st period as 2 of the goals scored on him were of the “soft” variety.  Johann Tremblay-Kau played goal for the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Kindersley took 8 penalties to 6 for the Hounds.  Next home game takes place on Friday, December 15th when the Battleford Northstars make another appearance at the “The Hangar” at WCEC.  Puck drops at 7:30 pm.  Come on out and cheer on the Klippers who are playing far and above last season.  Currently they are tied with La Ronge for 5th place overall with 30 points.
