Western Prairie Thunder U188AA in Second Round of Playoffs!
The Western Prairie Thunder U188AA female hockey team is in it the second round of playoffs and currently playing 1st place Prince Albert Foxes in the North division.
“Our team is made up of players from Kindersley, Kerrobert, Dodsland, Plenty, Eatonia and Dinsmore; we have 2 third year players 7 second year players and 9 first year players. We play in the province wide Sask female hockey league which has a north and south division. We had a slow start to the season but started to play better as the year went on and finished 5th out of 6 teams in the North. We beat 4th place Saskatoon Comet Legends in two games in the first round. Now we are playing 1st place Prince Albert in the 2nd round and lost the first game 2-1 in double overtime. Game two will be this Friday at 8:00 pm in Dodsland and if we can win and force a game three would be Sunday @ 7:00 pm in Prince Albert,” shared Greg Kraft.
