Jonathon Richter, 41, was reported missing Sunday evening

RCMP are continuing to search for a cattle farmer in a rural area near Welwyn, Sask.

Jonathon Richter, 41, was first reported missing to police at 8:30 p.m. CST on Sunday, after the family lost communication with him.

Richter’s green truck was found on a gravel road near his home, 16 kilometres north of Welwyn. The road goes through pasture land with sloughs and rough terrain.

Investigators don’t believe Richter’s disappearance is suspicious, but police are concerned for his well being because several days have passed and there has been no cell phone or bank activity.

Donna Richter, Jonathon’s sister-in-law, says it’s been a very difficult time for the family, but she’s thankful for the support they have received. She said between the RCMP, other search teams, and community volunteers, more than 100 people have been looking for Jonathon.
