Awards Night: 2016 KBEX Awards

The 2016 KBEX Awards were handed out last Friday night (November 4) to the lucky winners.

The dinner and cocktails began at 5:30 p.m. at the Kindersley Inn Ballroom.

The Award Ceremony began around 7:30 p.m. with Tom Morris as the master of ceremonies.

 

The winners of the awards are as follows:

Youth Citizen of the Year: Jarret Reichart

Rural Roots: Deb and Ron Smith

Lend a Hand Award: Kindersley Fire Department

Small Business of the Year: Garden Gallery

Citizen of the Year: Audrey Heit

Employee of the Year: Carol Ardel

Customer Service of the Year: Suburban Extended Stay

New Business of the Year: Fortier Mattila Appraisals Inc.

Business of the Year: Energy Dodge

 

“Overall, everything went over very well,” said Heather Wall of the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce. She said that the food provided by the Kindersley Inn was “fantastic” and the award-winners were excited and touched with their awards.

Ron Hope, Fire Chief of the Kindersley Fire Department, said that the Department was “thrilled to be nominated.”

“Thanks to whoever nominated me, thanks to my family for supporting me, and of course thanks to my customers,” said Devon Coles of Garden Gallery.

“Looking around this room, there’s a lot of success,” said Jason MacArthur of Energy Dodge. “I see a lot of business people out there every day with their heads down working hard. I need to thank the community for their support, without them we wouldn’t be here.”
