Two Alaskan fishermen are in the media spotlight after reeling in a nearly 400-pound halibut.
Brian Mattson and Doug Corl were on a routine fishing trip through the Frederick Sound passage near Petersburg, Alaska last weekend, when they made the catch of a lifetime.
“It’s surprising something that big came up without you even knowing it until it got close to the surface and we could see it in the lights and we knew it was a big one,” Mattson told CTV Channel News from his home in Petersburg on Friday.
