Wind Chill Values of -40 Continue
The deep freeze has not left and the morning wind chill is still hovering near -40. Due to the extreme cold, cancellation on bus routes continue for the 3rd day across West Central. Sun West School Division has issued several bus cancellations. See full list here
Cancellations are not only in the Sun West Division, as the Prairie Spirit School Division and Living Sky School Division have cancelled all buses this morning.
Wind chill is expected to ‘warm up’ to -31 this afternoon but will drop to -38 tonight with periods of light snow.
Temperatures like this bring risk of frostbite and hypothermia, be sure to dress in layers and cover skin from exposure. When traveling be sure to take an emergency kit and dress for the weather.
